The product does not know what a dental practice or a hazmat store is. A pack teaches it: a manifest of categories, obligation types with sensible default lead times, custom fields, vocabulary and saved views for one sector.

Previewing and applying
An admin can preview a pack before applying it. The preview lists every category, obligation type and field it would add, anything it would refresh, and anything it will skip. Your edits always win: a pack only updates rows it seeded itself and you have not touched, and it leaves alone anything you created or changed.
Changing what it seeded
Everything a pack creates belongs to your organisation from the moment it is applied. Edit it freely. A pack is a starting point, not a mode the product runs in.
Packs and your plan
Plans limit how many packs you can apply. Only the packs you chose count; the generic pack is free, because it is applied before you have chosen anything.
The veterinary pack tracks controlled-substance permits as obligations that expire. It is deliberately not a controlled-drugs ledger.
